I decided that I needed a landing page for my domain that is my name that is www.helencrozier.com - which would have a mixture of the business helen and the social helen - sending visitors off to the appropriate blogs/sites or even bookmark collections.
Via the ever useful Twitter I was reminded about flavors.me and upon exploring have decided it’s a steal. I have spent $20 to become a premium user so that I may use a custom domain and receive stats - if you don’t want these it is FREE! Along the lines of the blogging system posterous this is a very quick and elegant way to throw up a sight containing all the essential services.
See how pretty it is when you click on the social media links at the top? I just love it. Is this enough to persuade you that it is not necessary to spend thousands of dollars on a clunky traditional site? Aggregation is the name of the game and with something as easy as this (2 hours to build) there are no excuses why you can’t get your own site up in a flash.
